To speed up my computer, I deleted various unused programs and utilities but I now have various deleted items on my Start menu. How do I get rid of them? I am using Windows 95.
In Windows 98 and later versions you can just right-click unwanted Start menu items and select Delete to remove them. The Start menu is just a representation of the folders and shortcuts that are held in the folder c:\Windows\Start Menu. To remove unwanted items under Windows 95 you must delete the corresponding folders or shortcuts from c:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.
